Day trip for school classes

Document Actions
The day trip to Tannenland for school classes is specially designed to meet the needs of pupils and teachers. We provide ideas, tips and documents to take with you on this little journey of discovery to meet the queen of all the trees – the silver fir. Topics relating to ecology and the forest as a natural habitat are presented in an entertaining way (on a walk through the forest including a paper chase and a visit to a “forest school”). Recommended age group and size of group: 10 – 13 years, 15–30 pupils.

How to get there

The ideal way to reach Alberschwende is by train. Train connections can be found on the Austrian national trains website at www.oebb.at. The nearest train station to Alberschwende in the Bregenzerwald is Dornbirn.

You can then continue to Alberschwende using the public bus service from Dornbirn. On weekdays the busses leave almost every hour:

The bus timetable can be found at www.vmobil.at
